If you told me back in 2020 that I would find the person I would marry and build a life with, well honestly I would have laughed. Love was not on my radar and from accounts from Gary’s friends, it wasn’t on his either. We both just wanted to have a person outside our household bubble to have fun with and not have to think about the state of the pandemic. And now here we are, years later getting married and building a life together that we couldn’t have truly imagined. From work promotions, job changes, and a big state move, we have weathered through and came out stronger for it. We are excited to see what’s next in our life’s journey.

Now if you asked my friends: The official Story is that he was completely oblivious to my advances and then he finally made me dinner, and then I proceeded to attach myself to him like a barnacle.

If you asked his friends: The story is he was kind of confused about my interest, wasn’t sure about anything but decided to make his “famous” chicken wings and see were it would go. And remained unsure until a year later. Then it was real and no longer surprising.

If you asked Karen: Please don’t, she witnessed it all and has all the details, the good and the bad. And I’m not sure if we want all the details told. We’re joking, Karen has the best insight because she got to witness everything unfold organically.
